Who This Workshop Is For

This workshop is for you if you feel called to be present with animals during illness, aging, or the end of life.

It may be especially supportive if you are:

  • A pet guardian navigating anticipatory grief or end-of-life decisions

  • Someone who feels deeply and wants guidance on how to stay open without becoming overwhelmed

  • An animal communicator, healer, or practitioner who holds space for others

  • Drawn to hospice or death doula work, but unsure how to meet the emotional weight safely

You don’t need prior experience, special training, or to be “ready.”
You only need a willingness to approach this threshold with curiosity, tenderness, and respect for your own pace.

This will be my FIFTH workshop. Ute has been my wise and caring sensei from the first workshop I attended. Thanks to my treasured teacher and classmates, who are now family, I found my purpose in life.  Each time I attend, I learn many new things, and my understanding of how to help beloved pets have a good and peaceful transition broadens.  I also have fun! If you are interested in learning about this remarkable stage of life, whether you want to be a doula for others' pets or help your own, I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop. - Jayne

There is a space between living and leaving. A threshold that asks for presence, steadiness, and compassion.

This introduction to Walking Between Worlds explores what it actually takes to support animals at the end of life with clarity, compassion, and grounded presence.

Most of us say we love our animals deeply. But when death arrives at the threshold, we often freeze—paralyzed by grief we haven't learned to hold, afraid of doing it "wrong," unsure how to stay present when everything in us wants to run.

We'll touch on:

  • A more conscious, sacred goodbye than conventional approaches offer

  • What animals truly need from us in their final days

  • How to discern your animal's needs versus what your fear is telling you

  • The difference between compassion and competence in hospice care

  • What the full four-day Walking Between Worlds workshop offers
